I just read about the bean animal, and not quite sure all the parts and things that I need, I even went to the website, and its kind of vague, and searching the internet, people were just bashing about using a 3rd pipe

Yea I thought the same thing at first. Looks a little confusing and intimidating. Some think the 3rd pipe is overkill. Mainly people just reading about it. People actually using the system swear by it.

You can also check out Complete Overflow Kits - Glass-Holes.com dope aquarium stuff. I've heard lots of good things about them.

Yes, I have been looking at the system. I am interested in it. Seems like it would also save some money, and provide a cleaner look to my setup. But, I'm confused where all the pipes go to, just the sump? What materials do I need? I searched for a DIY for the Beananimal, but nothing found, I'm an extremely visual person, so seeing pictures would help, and knowing how far from the top to drill the 4 holes.

I have a CPR overflow on my tank and like it much better then the U style overflow I had before. I will say that the hose that runs to the aqualifter to keep siphon gets clogged with algae at times because it's right at the top of the tank by your lights. I just replace mine now and then to avoid any issues. Also keep a spare Aqua lifter on hand just incase. for $15 it's cheep insurance. Of course if I had it to do over again I would do overflows.

Shoot Bama a PM or check out his build thread. He's a good guy, I'm sure he'll answer any questions for you. I'm know he's using a glass-holes kit on his 75. I remember reading him raving about it recently.
