I can't get any Coraline to grow in my tanks. Does anyone know how to fix this?

If you don't have any you need to get some scrapings from someone and keep your calcium up.I also heard too much light can inhibit growth and that a bluer spectrum helps.I have the opposite problem it grows like crazy in my tank.it's actually becoming a pita I have been thinking about getting a longspine urchin to help keep it mowed down.

It took 8 months before it started to really grow in my tank (basically when I started keeping Ca and Mg at reef levels by dosing daily).

Now it won't stop and I have to manually remove it from my viewing glass constantly. I hate this stuff.

But keep your Ca 400+ and your Mg 1400 + stable and it will take off in no time.

That might work! I already have put scraping in,butI don't dose supplements, and I have a 150w MH on a 20g tank..so those factors may be inhibiting the growth...Plus I have a ton of giant turbo snails. Do they eat coraline?

In my tank, the coralline grows best where it is either shaded or in subdued light....
Cortez turbos do NOT eat coralline but many inverts do esp urchins.
