    What about the non-apex version. just the aquacontroller jr. Can that still be accessed and controlled by iphone?

    Not sure, when I was researching controllers I felt the Apex Jr. was the best bang for the buck. It allowed me to start small and than upgrade over time to extra modules/probes if I wanted. Being able to afford it initially I was able to wrap my head around it quickly and than decide how I wanted to use it. BTW the Apex Jr. also comes with a temp probe.

    I haven't had any other exp with any other controllers so can't speak directly on them.
