Tip for removing: put a hose in your return line and use the water flow to loosen the cyano, then net the cyano out of the water.

You can also completely cover your tank for three days, make sure no light gets in. It will come back unless you figure out what is causing the bloom.

I did the lights out thing, i thougt thats why my coral was mad and unhappy. its come back a little. I know my green Polyp Duncan seems the most unhappy, he is closed up tight as can be. I just paid almost $40 for an Mg test kit, so I guess I can buy a better ammonia kit.
I been having this annoying voice in the back of my head telling me to just give up, but I really can't. I think the problem will be easy to solve, just need to figure whats going on.

This can be a super frustrating hobby. I would start blowing the cyano off with a turkey baster and get another power head.

Right on! it gets blasted in the morning and then when I get home from work. That stuff in most cases comes off pretty easy, I have a canistor filter in there to get out as much of the free floating stuff and I have 3 different type of filter media in there for Phosphates and Nitrates removal for what its worth.
As far as my Corals go I been wondering if one has been releasing combat juice or something. All was wonderfull until several weeks ago and the only changes made was added some live rock from a LFS and 2 Corals

You guys are right about that. Some times you just want to give up and forget about it when things are bad. Unfortunately when you let your guard down, it gets worse and you would just end up wasting hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Adding live rock would do it! It might be going through a mini cycle depending on how well it was cured, if it was that is. I got the same exact thing happening right now, but I'm not worried because its only a phase.

Do you mind showing us some pictures of your tank? We aren't sure of what your using and doing. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words! ;D

Sounds like your taking some of the right steps. It would help if you befriended a more experience reefer to give you another set of eyes. Someone to also bounce ideas off of too. Don't give up now! The rockiest roads are at the beginning it gets better, these are the experiences that make you grow. Most of us have had issues too.....there is a learning curve to this.
