I got these little guys Saturday. They are tank bred. They havent really ate much since i got them. I have tried small bits of flakes and PE mysis. They act a little weird too. One of them always swims like he is sinking and the other hangs around the top of the tank. The one that acts like hes sinking is interested in food but doesnt eat much. The other hasnt really shown much interest in the food. The water parameters are good. They are in my 14g biocube until they get a little bigger. I put some brine shrimp eggs in a tank yesterday to hatch but its only been 24 hours so there arent many hatched yet. Any ideas?

I've heard that you shouldn't feed them brine shrimp, they can become addicted and eat nothing else. Try to soak their food in garlic.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Clownfish sometimes take awhile to start eating enthusiastically, I would really only become mildly concerned after day 4. Cyclops, mysis with garlic is a good choice. If they continue to not eat after day 4 try to find out what they were eating at the time you purchased them.

You may want to watch your parameters closely for a week or two. Attempting to get them to eat or offering them food more frequently might lead to a water quality issue in a 14 gallon.

When you say soak it in garlic... is that something you get from LFS?

I poured the bag water into a plastic container(the kind the LFS uses to catch the fish) and let the temperature equal the tank. I added a few ounces to the container every 10 minutes for 1 hour. Then took out alot of the water in the container and poured them in the tank.

I agree with Garlic, I use it every time I feed.

You can take regular garlic, crush it and place it in a cup with a little RO/DI (or tank water), let it sit for 20 minutes and then soak your fish food in the water before feeding the tank – works very well.

I bought some garlic drops and some frozen brine cubes. When I hot home the brine eggs were hatched and I put some of those in the tank. The clowns tore em up! I'll keep trying the frozen and flakes. I'm just happy to see them eating good! Thanks for the advice!
