Hey 3reef, I am back for those of you who know me, I havent touched my tank for months except water changes. I lost interest for awhile and with school and all didnt really have time to do any addon's besides feed and clean.
Cleaner shrimp and the 6 line wrasse died in the past couple months, besides that everything is well.

Anyway latley I have noticed I keep looking for my clownfish, because I know the swim in the open water 24/7 lights on or off, but the past days one of the clown fish likes to go between the rocks, and in and out of the rock hiding areas, did my clownfish grow some personalities or something? lol

My clown often is exploring around or swimming with the puffer but it also has a little nook it likes to stay in at night and every once in a while during the day. Does your clown ever come out or is he hiding at all times throughout the day?

If it's still actively moving around then I would say it's fine. Mine like to explore the tank all day long moving in an out of the rock work. They have a hiding cave that they go to whenever I put my hand in the tank.

good to see you back Mkizla

clowns do often host things as you know and once they host something, they tend not to do as much free swimming ( they will come away from their chosen territory for food etc)
sounds like natural behaviour to me based on my experiences with clown fish
when they are 1st introduced they spend a lot of time in open water , exploring then eventually find a spot to call home
