Im going to actually start doing 5 gallon water changes every 4 days to get this in check and once my coraline is establised then do the 7 day water change. I believe it is my phosphates being to high so im goign to buy 2 reactors 1 for phos and the other for carbon. I also worked on my sump a little today to create a more efficient flow in there to reduce the slime in there also. All in all it looks good for now, im going to be adding a watchmen goby and a cleaner shrimp this weekend to try and get the crap left over from the food cleaned up if there is any. Nitrates need to come down though but I believe thats due to the crap on the bottom and stuff settling in my sump. I lowered the temp to run at 77.5-77.9 instead of the 80+ running which I also think was causing the problem for the friggin crap to grow. If all else fails even after the reactors then im going to change out the bulbs and see if thats causing it. But 1 thing at a time to get this under control and I dont think im going to be using the chemicals again since I want to figure out whats going on!

Hmmmmm.... Really this red slime issue is not as bad as you think it is. Ive had red slime... Figured it was poor water movement and slight over feeding. Used chemiclean as an AID and everything was well afterwards.

Before you use the chemiclean.... Figure your problem(s) out. Siphon all the red slime. Them use chemiclean. And dont let any of those problems re occur and you will have your red slime issue solved.

I am survivor of Cyano Bacteria. I should have a tshirt made saying " I have survived the Red Slime Plague" :cheesy:

Lol ya agreed. I increased flow to sump, took the little powerheads things off the front of the korallias, turned the sump up to higher siphon. Pruned the cheato to make it suck more nitrate up. I think im starting to get to the bottom of it. Next is 2 reactors to hopefully abolish this god slime!
