I was when my reef was running. It was an awesome skimmer! It started pulling junk within 3-4 hours. I would definitely recommend it.

I'm running a Bubble Magus NAC6 (which is awesome and I would recommend to anybody) but I have heard of quite a few people using the SWC's and are very happy with them. Also heard lots of good things on Reef Octopus and Vertex. All on how much you want to spend.

Also I noticed you said you would be running 3 Koralia 1400's. Thats gonna be a TON of flow in a 65g right? Hopefully not so much to cause sand blowing everywhere.

I am not sure I had smaller ones and everyone said go bigger... Do you think the 1400 are too much? should I do 2 1050's and a 750 for behind the rock?

I would not get the JBJ True Temp digital heat controller. I would get an AC Jr instead.

It may be a bit much. I have two 750s and a 425 in my 52 gal and they keep things well-circulated.

What sort of critters do you plan on having?

Well I think most would agree the more flow the better. It may not be too much, depending on what sand you use and how the powerheads are placed I guess. I once put too big of a powerhead in my 20g and no matter where I put it it would blow sand everywhere and cause bare spots on the bottom. I think you would probably be better off with a couple of the 1050's in a 3 foot tank.

How much are you looking to spend on powerheads? A single MP20 might be a better option, there amazing pumps and really cant be beaten. I would also look into a cheaper controller (AC JR, or RK lite) over the heater controller, they will control your heater and 7 other items. Definitely get an ATO of some sort, you dont need to spend hundreds on this, and if you set it up right you can top off with lime water and not have to worry about dosing calcium and alkalinity.
