It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Forty gallon breeders have such great dimensions for reefs it seems a shame to try and maintain a predator set-up in that size of tank.

Designer clowns and anemones always get my vote.

It would also make a nice frag system.

im leaning more towards the reef cause i like the colors and such, and i really feel in love with the looks of the snowflake clowns. but thats all i can really think of, maybe do snowflakes and someone help suggest tank mates and what type of anemones for the snowflakes.

I love cheryls concept, but keep in mind you'll need great lighting and really stable params for the anemones, for them I'd get BTAs. then add some shrooms and LPS for some colors.

For tank mates, I'd get a bottom dwelling goby(yelloe watchmen/pistol shrimp pair), maybe a firefish, cardinals, a smaller wrasse or something else more active.

only one scissor tail lol they are agressive tword one another.

drop the flame cardinal and the jawfish if you do the goby.

    that would give you:
    2 clowns
    2 red fire fish
    2 purplefire fish
    1 watchman goby
    1 pistol shrimp

that a full house to me lol you will definatly have a very colorful reef

Well, if you're going to be using lighting from rapid, I'd say reef since I concur the 40B has awesome depth for corals. Predator tanks are in the bigger is better boat in my opinion and won't require coral spectrum specific lighting. JM2C

I'm doing Lps first since spa get expensive and require spittle more care since they arnt as hearty as Lps leathers and mushrooms
And my final setup will be
    2 red firefish
    2 purple firefish
    1 scissor tail
    2 snowflake clowns
And the bluespotted watchman plus the pistol shrimp
And as for a cuc ill stick with a basic snail hermir and maybe a crab or to if they won't get ate

And in the fuge is there any other macro algae besides chaeto that would also work was thinking of growing down there and now an then harvest it to feed in my main tank if I can find a herbivore I like that won't need a bigger tank and won't get beat up on, cause I dont think a blenny can get along on the bottom of the tank
