Calcium....

Just did a calcium test today for the first time in a bit, i've been dosing kent liquid calcium about every other day (1/4 tsp) The calcium was about 550ppm. Everything seems to be happy at the moment so im not terribly worried. Just curious if too much calcium could be a problem...

 

I'm currently experiencing a major problem with high CA. unfortunately my CA test was defective and telling me my CA was at 440 when it was actually around 600.
I'm loosing about 60% of my corals.

So yes high CA levels can be dangerous

How awful! Are they rtn-ing or just bleaching?

dont have much for corals right now, so im not sure that im going to have too much of an issue. i'm just going to stop dosing calcium for awhile and see what happens. once it gets back down to a normal level i'll start putting more corals in again. thanks for the help though jason. hijack away!

 

Me too!! I just tested yesterday and some how my Cal is at least 600ppm and my Green Montipora is bleaching. That sucks. Luna
