buffers for biocube 29

I never used any buffers before, but my alk is at 6.5 and mag at 1230

what kind of buffer do you recommand?

Also what happens if my alk is at 6.5 and mag at 1230?
is it deadly?

 

I suggest you look at Parts A/B or 2 part and a magnesium supplement if you go that route. Also I would do a water change now, double check your parameters against another test kit. Are you using dkH or meq/l. Either way something is off.

 

completely agree.

i dose brightwell aq. reef code A and reefcode B as well as Magnesion supplements. as well as few other supplements from brightwell's line of reef supplements. great stuff i must say

 

My suggestions ( aside from double checking results as per Coraillines post)

Kent nano A+B - which is complete ( should boost mag levels in addition to Ca and Alk)
Brightwell Reef code A and B + Magnesion ( product name for their magnesium)
Seachem Fusion 1 and Fusion 2 - with Brightwells Magnesion as required because it contains both Mag sulfate and Mag chloride and is thus a better balanced mag additive IMO)


in about 3 weeks I will have a feeling as to which one of the above seems better value
based on amounts or ions being delivered under suggested dosing regime in comparison to RRP of the products
