    Hello, fellow reefers!

I have 2 bristle worms (1 lg/1 sm) I am trying to trap with the " Trap 'Em " green tube trap. I caught the small one last night in the tube and thought it would stay there safe & sound till this morning when I would give it a proper burial, but to my shock and horror, it was gone! GONE!!!! Help!

I thought the idea of a trap is you go in, but you don't get out? Any advice is appreicated because now I am starting all over w/these 2 stinkers!

    Thanks!

next time one goes in - remove it - and put the trap back and try for second one

Why exactly are you removing bristle worms? And if you think that you only have 2, you are in for a shocker if you ever feed your tank after the lights go out :)

As Amcarrig stats...why do you want to remove a harmless detritivore... Unless its a coral eating fireworm-which I doubt, leave them in there. If you have them all over and its a plague, well that means your water quality is subpar...

    Happy worming!

when using that trap watch for them to go in then remove them because they can get back out.
like stated above I would just leave them in.

I am confused by this, your saying they can only multiply in subpar water? or did you mean due to overfeeding?

I agree with Dr. and amcarrig. These "were" some of the most efficient detritvores in my tank. And of top of it they were free. My sixline has decimated my bristleworm population, but I would welcome more of these hitchikers coming in on future rocks/coral frags.
