Being in Southern California now is the time it starts to get hot, not like in some other places but too hot for a reef. With not being able to control the Temp in my house i find it hard to control the temp in my tank.
I dont run a sump and I dont have a chiller, I wanted to see what others do to keep the temp in their tanks down to a minimum.

seems like you cut the most used things out of the equation.
    1.Ambient temp (get some ac!)
    2. Chiller
    3. Fans (most will cool it down 2-4 degrees)

Best bet would be fans in your case. although if u can get that whole room cooled down first it will be way easier to cool the tank down.

Yea, I guess I did cut the most used things out of the equation. I am going to set up my cooling fans tonight, I was just curious if others had some interesting ways of keeping their systems cool. Any DIY chillers, i dont know, maybe something cool that I dont even know about.

AC is a must in SA. it keeps the temp in my tank fairly constant.
