Sadly, I had to say good bye to my little buddy on Monday. He hadn't eaten in about a month and was becoming extremely skinny. I went to feed him by hand (which he never had a problem with before) and went into a puffing frenzy. he swam around the top of the tank continuing to take in water until he ripped the side of his belly. It was horrible, it left a 2" hole on the side of his body. He didn't make it and died by time I got home from work. :(
Since my lion and puffer both died, I am about to give up om my 150G tank, it's been nothing but heartbreak since its first crash years ago, it just seems cursed.

That's sad to here. :( Maybe you could think about keeping the tank w/e equipment you have and just take things out & get new sand & cycle the tank over again as if it was a new tank?
