Blenny disappeared?

I just recently added a golden highfin ( 1in very small) to my tank. The day after i saw him eating algae on the back. But it has been 3 days and i havent seen him at all and im starting to get worried. I have a purple reef lobster but the lps guy said he was a peacful specimin. Any ideas?

 

If you have lots of rock, he is more than likely hiding out in a hole. You might try some garlic extract or appetite stimulator to see if he will come out for food (was he eating at lfs?)

My bi-color blenny did the same thing. I didn't see it for almost a week...just took it a while to get used to the tank and his tank mates....now he comes out and plays all the time...especially during feeding time (he eats pellets now). Keep an eye out after lights go out to see if it re-emerges...good luck!!

the lobster very well could've got to him. In general, blennies aren't the most athletic fish. But there is still hope because it usually takes most fish a week to get settled. Be patient. Hopefully he will turn up.

try and move the rocks if you are really scared he is dead. i did that and mine was dead under a rock cave. hope yours goes better.

 

we are pretty sure he is dead we ar3e gonna try to get some money back because it wasnt really our fault he said the lobster wouldnt eat it
