Are black rubber hoses reef compatible???

I am trying to get my pump to be quieter and thought that adding a rubber hose section would eliminate some of the vibrations from traveling up the plumbing tubes.

I'm not sure but I used a couple pieces of 3/4 inch return hose zip tied around my return pump and it works great.Almost no noise at all.If you need me to I'll take a pic of it tomorrow.

I would think it's safe, but that it would get brittle under salty conditions fairly quickly.

Used them on my 125 gallon with zero prob just look for UV resistance if its going to be close to your filter if you have one.

Why not just use spa flex? Anything that is not rigid PVC will cut down on vibration greatly.
