    how would conchs do in a 55 gallon? I have some red hair algae that refuses to go away it comes back on the same exact spot everyday

    Conchs primarily eat detritus and hide in the sand bed.

    You would need an urchin for the hair algae

    Cheers, would they be ok in a 20g? And if so how many should I get? The 1 per gallon rule would be overload!

    In my 50g I have 3 nassarius and 1 tiger conch. The nassarius only work @ night unless they sense feeding time. They don't seem to do much. The tiger conch made a difference in one night.

    Dwarf ceriths stocked at a rate of 1-3 snails per gallon does the trick for all of my tanks!
