I currently have a Coral Banded Shrimp. He's your average hot headed CBS. Never seen him actually harm anything in the tank, but he definitely lets everything know when they're getting little too close.

A friend of mine is in the NAVY and is going to be deployed, he's dismantling his tank and offered his pink spotted goby and Japanese pistol shrimp. They are a pair.

Anyone have or heard of that shrimp combination? My Coral Banded is the only shrimp in the land right now. Just curious on your thoughts...

I had a coral banded shrimp a long time ago and he ate one of my cleaner shrimps and tried to attack my clownfish.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would go for it. The pink spotted goby is one of my favorites. I have kept most combinations of shrimps and not had a lot of problems. The pistol shrimp will live in a burrow and gain some protection from the goby.

Video is ridiculous and does not accurately represent pistol shrimps. They are scavengers and use their claws for defense.
