    start in the center and work the bubbles out to the edges.

    I painted mine dark blue.

    I used Seaview Gel on my freshwater tank for some time. It does work, but it can be a pain to remove the gel residue from the glass after a while if you want to switch backgrounds or paint the glass instead.
