Okay so I plan on purchasing an ATO in the near future just for simplicity and I personally feel like it's a nice piece of equipment to have. Also I don't want to go the diy method because it's okay for some things but imho not for others. Now i'm looking at two different ones the JBJ model and the tunze, now a personal dilemma that I can't understand. As far as I know the JBJ doesn't come with a pump ( well the one on brs doesn't) and that rings in for $80. Now when you buy this what kind of pump would you need for it? and how much would it roughly run you. Now if I were to dish out the extra bit of money for the tunze is there added bonus in the features it comes with? I personally believe in spending the extra little bit of money now instead of basically wasting money now just to get a better system down the road, because I noted that the tunze can be upgraded for calcium and kalk. Final question I plan on getting a neptune controller probably around christmas ( what better time to get expensive things right?) does the neptune have it's own ato program? or will it work cooperatively with the tunze, because if the neptune will altogether replace the tunze we have money better allocated elsewhere.

    TL:DR
    1. How much is a pump for JBJ ATO
    2. Is the Tunze's expand-ability good (kalk)
    3. does the neptune controller have it's own ato program
    4. will the tunze work cooperatively with the neptune

That's why I asked my ato question now haha, that everyone seemed to be on the subject but I didn't want to hitchhike your thread with my own little questions

I use a Tom's Aqualifter since head is not an issue as it is pumping into my sump. The best part about it is how slow it pumps. Very little chance of ever having a float stick and pumping in too much.

Watch their sales flyers at the top of their web page, they have it on sale all the time for like $50-$60 off. Its less than the Tunze when on sale and I think its a much better system personally.
