    This is really the best fail safe. Have your controller automatically kill the ATO after 30-45 seconds.

    Mine does it after 10 minutes :cheesy: Since I use a Toms Aqualifter, it would only pump a max of just over 1/2 gallon before it times out. I use my Reef Angel to control it.

    Pump? My DIY ATO has no pump. Been working great for well over a year.
