So sorry to hear, FedEx should refund since they failed to meet their promise.

That's what I think! Do I go through LA for that, or call Fed Ex?

    Thanks :)

Well, I'm assuming DD shipped overnight or next day, so FedEx is definitely responsible and should even refund the shipping. You paid for it without a quarrel and you you got their failure to deliver their promise in return. In my world, that's bad business and regardless of weather conditions (which they may blame) they should not have taken the perishable items in if they knew there was any possibility they could not make the delivery ON TIME!

I'm really sorry to hear about this, KC. I've been there where PO misplaces or loses my package. I've gotten a lousy excuse once "It seems that it didn't get loaded in the truck, so you'll have to come get it in the next 10 minutes before we close or get it tomorrow) When I'm 25 minutes away from their central storage and distribution location.

So, I know how you feel. And fight it. It's not your fault and you should NOT pay again for shipping. This package must have some kind of insurance as well, so raise hell and good luck!

This is why I always go to an LFS. Though they may not always have the fish you want, at least you can get it without the fish possibly dying.

Hopefully they don't blame the weather in the midwest for the delay. That is what they did with the order to the store. $300 in shipping down the drain. When the new order shows up, we will not be losing money on the corals.

Goodluck with FedEx. Their 80 page agreement is full of nonsense and BS that protects them big time against EVERYTHING.

Kacy, no worries – I suspect your little basslet will arrive safe and sound…positive thinking girl ! he’s going to be a little extra cold so take your time warming up the water before you acclimate him to your parameters. I’d open the bag and get him some air and float him a while. I personally will be pulling for the little fella !

Well....poor baby came stiff as a board :( The bag and water were ice cold. Thing didn't stand a chance..

This morning a rep called me and said the fish would come Monday "because of weather delays." Well, a) the fish already came, and b) the weather delays is total BS. Since my fish got sent from one hub to another but without any delay flying between those two hubs. If it was a weather delay, the box would have just stayed at the Indy hub, not be flown to the Memphis hub....

Anyways, I called and complained and told them that the Indy Fed Ex hub is lousy and is always screwing up my orders. The rep was nice and apologetic and refunded my shipping. Phew! I didn't have to get nasty lol

Anyways, I have another one being sent out Monday. Fingers crossed for this guy. I'll watch the weather and if it is going to be bad, I'll cancel the order.

Sorry to hear on the fish Kacy, glad they suck it up and refunded your shipping. Good luck with the weather. I am hoping for good weather too, I have Ricordeas coming from Coral Morphologic.
