I have a remora with 1200 maxi jet with drain and filter box that i have had for about two weeks now. My skimmer cup is always full of wet foam. I can empty my cup and its full of clean water/wet foam within 3 min. I have my drain runnin back into the tank for the breakin period. Is this normal, I have moved the cup all the way up and down and it is the same still tons of foam. Thanks for everyones help.

Yep. This is quite normal for a new tank.

Give it about 3 more weeks.

If its a new tank that should subside over time. If not, and only the skimmer is new on an established tank move the O ring around the collection cup all the way down so the cup sits higher when working. I know you mentioned you tried moving it up and down but thats all I can think of since those skimmers are designed to be pretty idiot-proof as the water level in the skimmer chamber is set by the level of the overflow going back into the tank which can't be adjusted.
Do you have the skimmer prefilter box that sits in the tank? If so are you getting too much flooding in the exit chamber where the overflow from the skimmer goes? That may be preventing normal flow out of the skimmer and causing the water level in the skimmer to be running too high and flooding your collection cup. Check the sponge on the bottom of the exit chamber it to see if its clogged. Just a thought.
I have one of these skimmers and I'm using it without the prefilter box and mine seems to often run too dry for my liking but still performs really well. Unfortunately I don't have room in the tank for the prefilter box and I've got a brand new one just sitting in my closet.
    Good luck!

Your tank is fairly new, so your not gonna skim as much. Hmm water from your old tank.. do you have livestock in the new tank? My AquaC skimmed a nice dark green tea after 3 days, and it fill 1/4 of the cup. My tank has been setup for 4 months. Give it time.
