Apex does not use Aquanotes and you will not use it.

Is there an app for the ipod/iphone that allows me to access the controller or only through the internet?

    Safari ;D

You just need to know the IP of the Apex, and possibly some way of accessing it remotely. That's assuming it doesn't have an app, of course.

I know it's not cool to promote other sites... but it is what it is. You need to go to the Neptune vendor forum on RC. There are several active folks there that will help you with everything. There is an unofficial users manual stickied to the top of the forum. It's only about 120 pages big and a whole chapter on web access and another on setting up e-mail. That is the best place to start. It is invaluable to getting running on the web. And yes there are Droid apps and iPhone apps for the Apex.

I am on that forum all the time....best info you can find on the Apex and the best help you could imagine.

I have the Apex and can access it via any browser and my Google phone with an app developed for it. There is an app also for the Iphone and Blackberry too.

All you need is to open up the ports on your firewall and point them to your apex and you're there. You will also need to know your external IP address to get to it. Also if you dont have a static IP from your ISP then you will need to use some sort of Dynamic DNS utility and setup an A record pointing to your IP address.

    Its easy...sounds hard....but its not.

Once you have it all setup it is so friggin awesome and you will wonder how you ever went without it. The Apex is amazing!!!!

    That's my .02

This is awesome. Can I do the same with an aqua Jr? ...Or do I need to run aquanotes?

I know you can access it from the web. I would like to be able to from my phone.

The Jr. needs Notes and it does not run on the web. You have to jury rig it with blue tooth.

Not for your PC. You can use your IE, or whatever browser you wish. I've used it with Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and IE. It works fine with all. For my iPhone, I did download aquanotes but probably didn't have to. It was free, and it's ideal for mobile control, status checking, etc.
