hello guys i was wondering if i can get a BTA small anenome in my 14gal tank i know u should wait around 6 months my tank has been running for 2 and a half months now and i have 3 corals and 2 clown fish in there and a cuc i have lots of live rock so i was wondering if i can get a bta in ma tank.
lighting is 2 24 watt white blue buls so thats whitebluewhiteblue

and i have rocks up high so if it wanted it can get to atleast 10cms from the surface of my water, my tank is 40 cms deep. my temp stays very the same. doesnt drop ect. and my water quility is all good so far i havnt had spikes apart from the cycle time. but since then its been all good and i been doing water changes every 2nd week.

    Hello! and welcome!

I see no problems in keeping a nem in a 14G. You really should wait till the 6 month mark. Ensure there are no phosphates or nitrates in the water as they require pristine conditions. You may find your clowns could get terratorial.

Just be aware that they do move around and contain a potent sting, so be careful with the amount of corals you have.

And try not to get one that is smaller then the clown, or thats anemone rape.

When you do buy one, inspect its foot for any tears or if you can see any of its filamentous insides hanging out or a gaping mouth or if the anemone is not stron in colour, do not buy it.

And last but not least, can you specify your lighting? Are they T5?

im not quite sure if there t5 but i think there the ones that came with the tank its an aio nano tank so it came with protein skimmer heater filter and all the filtration stuff . but there stock 24w ill show you a pic of how much corals i have in it atm. and when u say my clowns might get terrortorial is that as in if i add it in at the 6month mark the clowns would nip it and eat it and things, and my bigger clown i think its female i dont know there still juveniles but when i clean te glass it always goes to nip my arm from cleaning the glass and the little one styas back. to be honest its cool but i think its being terrortorial to me they hang around the corner alot . ive had a torch coral in there for a while now about 1 week and a half and there taken no notice to it is that wrong cause i wanted them to host it.

Well i dont really have a clue if your ligthing is T5 or not, but i personally wouldnt attempt a nem without them or halides.

The clown fish may get terratorial with each other.

They also choose what to host, theres no confirmation they would even take to the anemone.

A 14 gallon tank isn't nearly large enough for a BTA. They get pretty large.
