Sorry the pictures aren't great as this is small but and my camera is crap....

I got this is a hitch hiker - at first i thought majano, but i've had it ages and it hasnt split - plus i notice that the oral disc is pink with a flourescent mouth. I always thought Majano had just a bland oral disc.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Ive got the exact same thing in one of my tanks. I was told its a Entacmaea quadricolor, which is the samething as a bubbletip, but then I was told its a majano too, but Ive never seen a majano like that. Mine is about 1/2"x1/2", has never split either.

hey thats about the same size as mine! thanks geek! it does look like majano but i feel its too colourful to be one and seeing as its never split i'm gonna pretend its Entacmaea quadricolor! Karma!

Ok tom! I'm not gonna remove it from the tank just yet, as i like the pink disc and flourescent green mouth. And at the moment it is not a nuisance! But i shall obv keep an eye and if it starts splitting, i'll be whipping him out! :)

Its to the point now that anytime there is an anemone showing up in somebodies tank, people always say its an "aiptasia or majano". You cant rely on doing images searchs for everything because you dont know who called it that for the image search. Ive also learned that most the people at WWM (wetwebmedia) are mainly hobbiests, not experts. The resident anemone expert at WWM called it a Entacmaea quadricolor, and then bob fenner called it a majano. I have been doing this a long time and never seen a majano that looked like this. The only green on mine is on the foot when its closed up and its a light green, not dark neon green like majano's have.

Heres a good link from Marcs website with different Majano pics... Melev's Reef
