Do people use air pumpos for SW or is the high current from powerheads enough to oxygenate the water?

Most people use powerheads for surface agitation , skimmers also help a little.

Air stones do very little concerning aerating the water outside of replenishing the air under a full hood. If you have an open top, you'll just be creating salt spray and creep.

Salt creep is where the spray dries and leaves salt caked all over everything.
