Long story short, I've had this one "stalk" of Aiptasia in my tank for about 5 weeks now.
It was in the back, out of view, so I kept saying, "I'll deal with it tomorrow..."
Well tomorrow came 5 weeks later, because it grew pretty big, and there's 2-3 really really tiny ones close to the "Mother".

Today I bought both Aiptasia RX, and 3 Peppermint Shrimp.

I was going to try the Peppermints first, but that plan was thwarted when my Mystery Wrasse literally ate one as it was falling from the top to the bottom as I let them out of the bag...

So, I used the Aip RX... I was thinking it was a liquid that you shoot into the Aiptasia, but it's a PASTE.
It's like a white calk. So I pasted it all around the mouth of the Aiptasia and it actually did willow up.

Soooooooo, is that all I need to do? Now just wait and see what happens? It's covered in this calk, that of course went everywhere in the tank.
I know not to disrupt them, like cut them, pull them out, etc. So will it just vanish, or at some point can you try to take it out?

Thanks so much, and any other suggested are welcome.
    ;D

I most likely will melt away. You should apply the treatment with all flow off and turn on the flow 15 minutes later to allow it to hard better and not get blown around the tank.

Yeah, I figured that out, post pasting...
I was telling the fish not to eat it

So everything will literally melt away? That's pretty cool.
If it's pretty easy like that, why is it always such a HUGE deal getting Aiptasia?

Just if there's 400 stalks of it or something I guess?

I mean I can see 2 other baby pieces that I'll get tomorrow, but aside from those I appear to be clean.

If you over feed they grow like mad and have very powerful stings and do lots of damage to your corals.

They can easily kill other corals by stinging them. By the way, after reading the OP, I'd just take care of the small ones now, after all, telling yourself 'I'll get them later' is how you have 3 not 1. Good luck with everything!

I'm curious, if this is on a piece of LR that isn't really essential to the tank.
Is easily taken down, and has nothing else on it, would you think about just taking it out?

That is another option, just nuke the rock and start over with it.

I mean, I could even just take it out for good.
    It's only like a 3 In x 4 In piece.

All the babies and big piece are on this one rock. But the piece I went after has "melted" even more since I last posted.
So maybe this will work fine.

Good news, yes you could remove the piece permanently also.

    Alright, thanks.
I guess I'll wait and see, knowing that if it doesn't work I can just take it out.
