I would like to add two similar fish to my 55. I would like to add a royal gramma (basslet) as well as a strawberry basslet. Can I add both of these fish to my aquarium at the same time? They are like species so will they get along if introduced at the same time? Should I only pick one?Right now I have a pair of oc clowns and a YWG/ pistol shrimp combo and 2 chromos and some assorted corals. Thank you in advance.

Most of the time, species that look smiler or close to each other will end up killing or hurting each other pretty badly...a 55g is too small to have smiler looking species in a tank..

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Keep in mind that the Stawberry basselet can eat shrimp as it gets older and that they can become aggressive. A beautiful and stunning fish but carries some risk with regard to aggression as do all Dottybacks.
The Royal Gramma is a much better choice IMO. Your tank is peaceful right now and a Dottyback may change that as it gets older.

Thanks all. I was unaware that dottybacks could become so aggressive. Ya, I'm definitely keeping the peace in my 55. Thanks for the input. Strawberry bassleta are so pretty. I think I just want everything I see. I'm strung out on reefing.
