Addatives??

hey guys i have a couple of questions! i recently started a nano tank (1.5 gallons) and its has been up and running for about a month and a half. my question is that i have been using ALL-IN-ONE and PURPLE UP as my suplements. I add about 1-3 drops of purple up every other day and about a half of a capful of all-in-one twice a week, do you think this would be fine for begginer LPS coral and polyps? thanks for any advice

its a 1.5 as in really really small

 

i would say that you dont need that many additives then. most of your trace elements should come from water changes with a high quality salt. with that small of a tank, it only takes a few cups to do water changes, so i would do frequent water changes and ditch the additives. with that small of a tank, you need the frequent water changes anyways. I'm jealous, i bet you can do a water change in 2 mins.

depends on the bio load to a degree - in a small tank with a low density of live stock, 5% weekly should suffice IMO
1.5 gallon , thats going to be hard work to maintain if you are not careful with your stocking
you might be best avoiding LPS corals in that small a set up, but I know some people keep Zoas etc in small volume aquariums

with water changes alone, you should not need any supplements
