    I don't know about ABS pipe, but ABS plastic in general is usually pitch black.

    abs is black,cpvc is yellowish tan,pvc is white,schedule 80 grey electrical conduit.

    Schedule 80 PVC is gray but is not electrical conduit which is not pressure rated. Sch 80 is heavy wall pressure rated water pipe.

    My bad,that just what we allways called it when i did hvac,but your right,the conduit is not pressure rated.

    That's a guideline if you go to places like Home Depot, but PVC comes in more colours than that.
