    its how i describe my EX . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I beleive this is the result of being too generous with my new lights, i am toning them down, but in the mean time, do i just keep bailing it out, or do i buy something to eat it ?

My mate says a horseshoe crab will clean it up in no time at all, however I beleive my hand will be quicker ?

Could be dinoflagelettes.... heavy and snotty. Snottier than cyano.

That definitely looks a lot like dinoflagellates (also called Snot Algae). Normally it's a royal pain because you have to drip Kalk, leave the lights off and siphon daily until you beat it. However, since it's in your overflow, all you have to do is take it apart and bleach it well (then rinse well too).

would/could this be caused by leaving my new lights on for too long each day ?
if now, where the bea-jesus did this alien life form come from ?
will my turbo snails eat it ?
