    Glad to hear it all worked out cuttingras, karma too for finding me a new DIY. My overflow is not as quiet as I'd like...and more karma if I can beacuse my wife will love it!

    I can't belive how well it works, I know why you keep checking yours now. These things are impressive, didn't know that my skimmer was so loud...hmmmm.

    you will hear them start to slurp a little when the water evaps. but add some water into the sump or tank and they go back to quiet...crazy huh????? Mine slurp in the morning and not that bad either! very easy to adjust too! and thanks!!

    I never thought that mine was loud, but I'd wak up when the power went out and that would freak out my wife. We'll see how I sleep tonight.

    Mine maybe a little more forgiving on the evaportaion since they are inside a small overflow box. I'll let you know if that's the case.

    cool, do that let me know! I slept in the living room where the tank is the other night, when I got it back to running...not really sure why, I'm in a coma when I do sleep :lol:

    aww thanks! yeah it's gonna be nice when hubby gets home and I show him that I DID IT! Not him, but me LOL I'm going to put an ac duct in the laundry room tonight, when the attic cools down(bout 2am). Then tomorrow I'm thinking about building a wall around the yard LOL naw just kidding :hehe:

    You sound like me! I "built" a deck and now I'm painting the kitchen and installing a new backsplash/counter tops.

    Hubby comes home from work shaking his head at the unfinished projects (because I seem to get disctracted by the tank and the kids).
