I have been thinking about going from a 55 to a 75 or 90 Gallon.
Will my fixture be good for when I upgrade?

I would get more rock once you do the switchover and more sand. I just upgraded my 55 to a 75. Your lighting will probably be good enough for a 75 if you want SPS because the 75 is the same depth (18") but I went from 75# of LR to 100# LR and 60# of live sand to 100# that is just me though, i figured the more the better. You might have to get a bigger stand because the 75 is a bit wider than the 55 (I had to build a new stand).

I'm going with the 90G, Because it has the overflow in the middle. This won't be anytime soon tho, Just gathering all the info I can for now.

Someone else may have a different opinion but for a 90gal I would at least get 250w MH's due to the depth. I have read that for SPS 18" is max for 150's. And you def. want more rock and sand for that setup.

Alright so I need to upgrade my fixture, more LR & LS. What fixture would be good for a 90G? Icecap?

I just got into the MH world but I have heard that the ICECAP is a good ballast. Just search the Reef Lighting forum and there are a lot of posts on MH comparisons.

I bought a 48" Marineland Pro 24 hr lighting fixture for mine but it only has 2 150w HQI's. So, if I were to upgrade now, I would be wasting a thousand dollars. You can't really upgrade the ballasts in those.
