I have two evo 1050 in mine and i dont think that is enough flow honestly. We are talking about a reef tank or is it a fowlr. Either way more flow=better. It will blow junk up to the filter.

I have a Koralia 4 and a maji jet 1200 with the sureflow mod. It really ripps, and I think it's too much flow. I also have a 55 gallon tank, and I think that a Koralia 4 and one Koralia 2 or 3 should be plenty. Although you don't want to have any zones with dead flow, you do need slow flow for corals like pulsing xenia, hammer coral, frogspawn, xenia tree, colt etc.

In fact, I had to put one of my powerheads running close to the surface more for water agitation, since I don't think I really need that much flow.

You just want to get rid of dead spots. Id prolly get a 1050.

there are some general principles BoBo65

in a tank with mostly softies, 20 x tank volume per hour, spread to ensure its not all going in the same direction would be a good starting point IMO
2 smaller power heads being better than 1 large one IME

I would have at least one, angled upwards putting a good ripple across the water surface ( helps with gas exchange and prevents protiens being trapped by surface tension - white film)

if you wanted to eventually keep SPS coral, then that 20x flow would need increasing IME

But I would start by adding 1 to the other side of your tank and angle that one upwards

    just my 2 cents

I would suggest getting another 750 for the other side. Then add nanos to eliminate dead spots as you fill out the tank.

Definitely get another, at least, for the other side. I have one Koralia 1400 evo in my 55 at the moment (same area as yours). But I'm going to add another 1050 to the other side I think and then possibly another 750 or smaller strictly for surface agitation.
