Ok im getting a 120 gal Tank and it comes with skimmer chiller sump and the works. the only thing is that it has only compact flourescent lights. Im planning on redo the whole tank and make it full reef tank with sps clams softies and fish any recommendations for the lightning? what do you think about LED lights?

Buy a top of the line 8x54w t5ho unit or 2x250w MH unit with t5ho supplement lamps.

Thanks for the rec, here is a pic of the tank it comes with a few fish but im planning on redo it and i have no idea how but ill see what i come up with! probably put the fish on a plastic tank with some airstones and powerheads while i clean the tank which is full of algae, and rearrange the sand and live rock. im planning on making a plenum do you think is necessary?

I don't think the plenum is necessary or advised. As for lighting, I would use 2x250w MH with some T5 supplementation. You can try LEDs, but I'm waiting to see how they handle other people's tanks first.

I like the Maristar 72" fixture. It has 3x250w MH and would be awesome for your setup. Geissman makes some phenomenal fixtures too, but the price is way up there.
