Shipping out this week are Neptune System's highly anticipated Wireless Expansion Module. The WXM is an AquaBus based module that will allow you to independently control multiple VorTech pumps via your computer or even your iPhone or iPad. Beyond changing pump outputs, the WXM will even give you diagnostic information regarding your pump's status in real-time. Also worth noting is the upgradeable firmware so that your module continues to evolve over time. 3reef got a live demonstration of the WXM this weekend and it was really impressive. Suggested retail price for the WXM module is $124.95.

Marineland's new aquarium kits are notable for the new 3 mode LED light in the streamline hood. Yet another sign of Marineland's LED push to the masses. These appear to be the same 60mW LEDs found in the new Single Bright LED lamps. These should be hitting the stores this summer.

Reef One is going large with their stylish biOrb aquariums. The new biOrb 105 coming this summer is nearly twice the size of the current largest biOrb available at 105 liters (28 gallons). It even looks bigger than that in person. Its larger planetary mass was pulling in humans from several feet away at Global Pet Expo. It comes with a nice stand as shown here that is about 3/8" think acrylic. The biOrb 105 also comes with the LED lighting and inline discrete filtration found in other biOrbs - just a wee bit larger!

Fluval just took their modular G series approach and applied it to their hang-on-the-back power filters with the new Fluval C series filter line for 2010 - and it is nice! First there is the sponge filter with the time-to-rinse filter meter (that pops up when the sponge expands) to this little wet/dry compartment shown here. Somebody's fish tank just got a lot easier.
