Marco took some of his nice rocks and cut them in half and has started selling them for more natural back walls in your aquarium. Now your ugly back wall in your tank can come alive with Marco's 'Prime Cuts' and some silicone. Sure seems easier than playing with foam. And if you think about it, you gain some really interesting real estate for frags. Brilliant things are often simple it seems.

Marco also now has more mortar kits that work out to be a lot cheaper than epoxy if you feel like this weekend is the weekend to build that huge arch you've been talking about:

CPR Aquatic's new 'First A.I.D.' box has to be the sleeper hit of MACNA this year. The 'A.I.D.' stands for Acclimation, Isolation and Dosing and gives an indication of multiple uses a hobbyist could use this for. The acclimation part is the most profound as many fish deaths occur from poor acclimation. CPR has managed to find a set and forget way for us to acclimate new fish that is fool-proof and insures proper acclimation every time with an auto-stop bracket. More below.

Acclimation just got a lot easier with CPR's First A.I.D. Box

TO USE:

  1. Open valve on bottom of box and adjust to your preferred rate. (When the valve is fully open, it takes 35-40 minutes to fill with tank water.)
  2. Place box on auto-stop bracket.
  3. Pour water and new fish from bag into box with care and replace lid.

As box fills slowly with tank water, it will sink until the auto-stop on bracket is reached. Wide-open with the valve will take 35-40 minutes to...

Dymax just joined 3reef and let us know about their new site and taking a look I noticed that the coolest pico around - the Dymax IQ3 - is now available in a few different colors and I immediately noticed the nice new lid. Something I will order from Big Al right away as I was going to make one for mine at the office. Theirs is a lot nicer. :) Welcome to 3reef Dymax and thanks for letting us know about the latest.

The open-source controller Reef Angel just went to the next level with the release of a WiFi attachment. Now you can have wireless control of your aquarium over the Internet, receive email updates and even send them over Twitter. Oh my. If you have been following crank's mad development, you know this is just the beginning. Starting today, you can get the Reef Angel WiFi for $99. Seems like money well spent.

Reef Angel WiFi Attachment

Wifi Attachment - US$99

Did you ever want that your Reef Angel Controller could access the internet wirelessly?
Whether sending emails or controlling it through the web to even send twiter updates, this is what you were waiting for.

Note: The pre-loaded demo software will not communicate with this attachment without code modification.

It was not that long ago that Dymax IQ3 Aquarium was just something to admire from afar. That changed when 3reef Sponsor Big Al's Online became a USA distributor. Right away I knew I had to pick one of these up and placed my order. Upon arrival, I was struck by two things right away: the thickness of the acrylic and the weight as I removed it from the box - this is not a flimsy kiddie tank.
