Maxspect continues to polish their LED lamps based on user feedback. First it was the fans and now they are tackling the lens. Check out the new ones below. Wow. The lens covers will be an option for current G2 owners and stock on the new G3. The new G3 lineup also has some new dimming features and even an LED spot that you can submerge in your tank to highlight your favorite coral. Potential Maxspect owners will be happy to hear you don't have to order over Chinese ebay anymore... link below for USA Web site.

Ecoxotic is adding a new Cannon LED lamp to their lineup that has been designed with a wide angle reflector to diffuse the light more for rectangular aquariums. The one shown has the same 50w Edistar multi-chip LED that nearly blinded me at BAYMAC. And shortly following, there will be a 100 watt version as well. I will definitely approach that one with caution.

Take a phosban reactor, add a few new parts and you have the new ingenious Two Little Fishies Kalk Reactor 300. A Julian Sprung design that does not require a mixer motor. The water pump is all you need here as the water return has a flexible base that causes the return to gyrate within the reactor - mixing the kalkwasser. Bravo. As if this were not enough, the $60 range price will surely keep these going out the door.

Packing more lights in a tight hood is no problem with Reef Brite's new LED flex strips. The LED flex strips make DIY jobs pretty easy. If you have a little slither of space left in your aquarium hood but do not have moon lights, you can simply cut the Reef Brite LED flex strip to size, remove the 3m tape backing and place in your hood and you are good to go. It is really not much harder than that. You can actually trim these light strips down by cutting between sections and the rest of the LEDs still work. More below.

Each section is about 2" long and contains 3 LEDs. There will be several colors available including a 470nm blue. The strips will come in 12", 24", 48" and 72". 48" = 6 watts.

These are obviously not for growing, but they will provide nice accent lighting. The ability to cut to size is very interesting. Although they...
