Fluval's new 2.0 LED lights highlights the evolving standard of LED aquarium lights with Wi-Fi compatibility, a nice controller and powerful and intuitive software. It was really the software that caught my eye. It looked really polished and there is an app version too. The Marine & Reef 2.0 LEDs are mid-range and there will be a 'deep-water' high-end 'Sirius' series as well. The new Stinger SunStrips look like good quality strip lights that also benefit from the 2.0 upgrades. Personally, I was excited by the new salt versions of their EVO office tanks. Same great looks but now with better LEDs and optional nano skimmer on the 12 gallon.

Wondering if you can use a sump for you 35g Nano tank instead of a HOB?
YES! Of course you can! Sump is always better than a HOB + it makes your tank look a lot more clean, and you don't need to worry about overflow!:hehe::hehe:

Tell us your dream Nano Box Sump, and Eshopps will build it for you! Provide at least following:
1. Dimension (Nano sump is designed for 10-35g Nano tank)
2. Color
3. Features

Feel free to provide as much info as possible, and we will make the dream come true;);)

If you just took in the styling and led lights, you would be seriously short-changing the the new Reef Ai Aquarium controllers. The top of the line Reef Ai Prime controller features a full-blown 1.7GHz QuadCore processor with 2GB of RAM and 8GB FLASH hard drive - that is nothing less than a Linux computer that could run this site. This kind of power is just not found in aquarium controllers. The Reef Ai is also open-source with Arduino programming like the Reef Angel before it, but with gigs of room for code instead of 256k. It's obscene. Then there are the sensors. Humidity sensors, leak sensors, and smoke & gas sensors. A water level and a PAR sensor that also measure temperature and flow rate. How about video-streaming with the 720p web cam? Yeah, that too. In pre-order now. Coming this November. More details below.

Since my grouper started complaining about his 3k pond not being "good enough", I give you his new 15k pond. The project started around November of last year and was completed in May. Below are some pictures of the build...

I was trying to find more pictures of the build right before we added the pebbletec/water but they might be in another HD somewhere. The pictures do not do it justice so I'll be posting a video soon!

I am happy to say a new 3reef site search is live that is better than before. Found in the footer under the logo, this site search uses a Google backbone that allows you to hammer on it without guilt, retrieves better results than the stock search and now includes image searching as well. The image searching even includes the 3reef Gallery images in the results. I am happy to see this live again and I think it should help a lot around here. This may move to the top nav, but for now look for it in the footer as that may take a while.

New site search found in footer:
