How intense does the lighting need to be for zoos? I have recently switched to a MH fixture and now it seems some of my zoos are bleaching, is this too much light? Do I need to move them to a shaded area of the tank? Thanks for the help in advance!!!!!

It's probably not too much light, but you need to light acclimate the corals to any new lighting. You can cut back the time the light is on and slowly increase it over a few weeks or you can raise the light up or use window screen to cover the tank, then remove a layer every few days or so.

A few of the polyps nearest to the light source have lost all of their color. They still open and close when they are disturbed, any ideas?

They are bleached but should recover.
