Any idea what the three random polyps are among the zoas? I assume buttons, but am not sure. Also, what is the best way to remove them? They look crappy and I want them gone. Scissors? Scalpel?

    Thanks!

i've got them too. they just sort of appeared one day... they seem like a paly as mine dont grow from a mat. i don't know if it's even possible, but they LOOK like they are parasitic/growing out of my zoas.

i put on a pair of gloves and pulled the whole rock out of the water so that everything was closed up (the rogue palys are easy to distinguish from the zoas) and i tried to pull them off with a tweezers. i think i just mushed and tore them up but i did get rid of quite a few of them without losing any zoas (that i could tell). GLOVES ARE A MUST!

Looks like acid drop palythoas or star dust palythoas to me.

HOLD IT! it's probably way too late but i've had a development! i accidentally got one when i was fragging my eagle eyes the other day. it's been up higher in my tank on my frag rack for like three days and it's turning a pastel purple.

the color is a bit off from my crap camera but you can see that the outer edge has a purple tint to it. the first pic is under the blues and the second is the daylights.

wow those are so cool, i don't understand why you would want to "get rid" of any thing in your tank that is not harming something. don't kill the ugly duck lol.
