hi everyone . A part of my zoas have been closed for the past week , i wonder if it's because there are some predators munching on it? If so, i have recently added a green wrasse (Halichoeres chloropterus), is it gonna help me eradicate the pest?

Here's a pic , the closed zoas are top right.

i have tried looking closely but see no signs on nudibranches, should i go ahead and do a 1 minute freshwater dip anyway?

Im not sure if a button polyp is a zoe or not but I do have a few of them that hitch hiked on a rock. If a fish swims close to them they will close up and if the flow around them is to strong they will close up also. do you have a power head that may have shifted a little and pointing at it or fish swimming close?

Have you tried moving them to a different location in the tank? I had the same problem, where about half of the colony wouldn't open. Turned out they were getting too much light. I moved them lower in the tank and they all opened up fine after that.

A freshwater dip would be a good idea with Lugol's Solution
