    ok this is the new project as I said in my last thread it seems it would be better to start a new thread to avoid confusion. It's a 20 long

    Equipment:
    Apex controller
    Aquamax hob skimmer
    Eco tech vortech pump
    Aqua clear hang-on filter with carbon and chemi pure

    Test parameters:
    Ammonia:0ppm
    Nitrite: 0ppm
    Nitrate:20 ppm
    Calcium: 480
    Alkalinity: 8.1
    Mg: 1400

    I forgot to add to the list a Kessil 160 w With goose neck. My gramma seems to have the same behavior as African cichlids when's it comes to moving sand around

    Cool.Picture of the Gramma??
    You might want to consider a lid of some sort on such a shallow tank.If you don't already have one.

    You can't see it but yes I have a cover suffered one lost don't plan on losing another. I will try to get a picture of it but it's still being elusive

    Thanks. Ok so currently the tank is not drilled. Plan on rectifying that in the future and getting a drilled one and adding a sump. Right now it's sumpless. Would it be better to add an overflow with sump or leave as is until I get a drilled one.Keep in mind the "future" could be a year or two from now

    It depends on what you want to keep in the tank. If you are going with stony corals you would probably want to try to get more water volume sooner rather than later just because it will be easier to keep your parameters stable.

    Yes I definitely plan on going with stony corals. Even if it takes some time before I can add them, I would like to add some SPS. I would like to go with a species tank like Montipora.
