So, just wanted to kick this off. I have a basic 3D model of what I am planning.

My list of have vs need.

    Have:
Lights (LED) on order from https://reefledlights.com/
    (2) RW-15s, got to have that flow!
Glassholes 1500 overflow (my daughter loved the fun dip!)
    New sand
    New rocks for new scape
New return pump (DC5000) Mag 9 will be backup. I won't run a DC pump without a backup on hand.

    Need:
    The tank...
    The stand
    The return plumbing

The drain plumbing is 1 1/2", so I may have to cut another hole in the wall. No big deal. However, if I have 2 drains, I wonder about putting one drain in the fuge and one into the skimmer section.

That's all I can think of as of right now. If there is anything I should add, feel free to comment! I have had to directly tell myself to relax about this build. I have to take it slow... I can't rush this... I have to take it slow...

ok, I think I'm good

So, as some equipment is coming in, my glassholes overflow showed up. Great great quality and the extras won over the child!

However, my favorite part was the last two steps in the instructions.

Only 2 drains? Kinda like my set up, which by valving only one of them for a siphon line, works great when the other stays wide open as the bailout/failsafe. My second line has an air vent with the hoses' end running back down and has the open end just at the high water level in the overflow area.
So if/when the water gets that high, the end goes underwater and turns the secondary line into a full siphon and quickly drains the overflow area down.

Actually, Arizona next, starting sunday for 9 sun/fun filled days! Se exciteD!

Then after I take in how different this is going to be, yes! The cube will be one of the last items. I know plumbing will sneak up on me as well.
