I was in my LFS today and the owner said he is looking into a live rock sold under the name of "Zebra rock"? Anybody ever heard of it? He said it will run about $2 per pound. He couldn't describe it becasue he had not seen any of it yet.

If I were you I would stick to the plethora of live rock that has been sold in pet shops for years! It has a great proven track record over the years and has a myriad of diverse organisms that accompany it. Also, in a short period of time you will not be able to see the designs and patterns of this rock as algae and corals will eventually take over! Plus you don't know the ramifications, if any, of adding this type of rock to your tank! Just my opinion, take it for what its worth!

for $150-$2 you can get dead reef rock that has lots of pours and is safe for your tank.

I'm not actually thinking about buying any, it was more curiosity than anything else. I'd never heard of it mentioned anywhere and had certainly never seen it. Like I said, just curious. Thanks for the input though.
