    Keeping things stable with params

If possible, you may want to remove the bioballs and replace with LR..Bioballs are nitrate factories IMO.

Do you test before adding the liquids?

It will get filtered through the system..But the LR rubble is the same thing as bioballs, just better. You need some filter pads also IMO.

I would still know the levels within your tank, before adding anything. You could do more harm than good.

I understand my friend. Everyone has to learn. I don't know a lot, but I know more than yesterday. ;D I have only a 10 gallon reef. I actually don't add anything to it. I just do the weekly water changes and everything keeps in balance. However with a bigger tank I believe you NEED to add stuff to keep the balance.
