-You think the shovel is stuck but realize its only the snow on top
-Your wetter on the inside of your jacket than outside
-You got a better back workout in your driveway than 2 hours at the gym

Anyone else have stories from this weeks snow storm? Or any stories actually, not much to do today.

No snow this year, but last year we had a record amount of snow, and my parents' minivan was completely covered - no part of it was out from underneath the snow. I had to go over and shovel it out! I thought I was going to die. I finally got it out and the battery was DEAD from the cold! Uggh horrible day.

    last week's snow

telgar- sorry dude. My crystal ball said heavy snow again this year. I bought a snow blower when they went on sale in November. Wife called it my Christmas present, and I was very satisfied with it (Craftsman 250cc, 28 inch intake, 6 spd forward, 2 spd reverse, dual stage output for $650. reg. $900).

I had even more fun helping out the neighbors. See, my kids are grown and most are out of the house. My neighbors still have little ones. I did their driveways and sidewalks and told them to go sledding with their kids. Have fun while they can, because children grow up very quickly.

If you look back at the blizzards of 96 and 03, you'll see a 7 yr pattern. Expect another drought in a year to two. It's just the vicious weather cycle of mid-atlantic area.

yes, my memory goes back to 82/83 when DC was shut down for a a week, my back had a much easier time of it then and I made quite a pile of cash shoveling driveways with a buddy for $30 a pop. A snow blower would be nice, but my dad gave it away when he moved to North Caroline 5 years ago and had not needed it since he bought it at least 4 years earlier than that. I tell ya HomeDepot and Lowes make a killing selling those things around here when you consider the 7 year cycle you pointed out :p
