It's a goner IMHO. How were you keeping it?
    Light? Flow? Nitrate levels?

i was keeping it in my cpr 3gal pico in the overflow chamber above the return pump with a simple desk lamp with a curly fry 5000k bulb shining through the acrylic onto it with a reverse cycle to the display lights.

Doesn't look all the gone to me, but it's obviously not doing very well where you have it. Maybe not enought light. I think ur better with a 65k-10k bulb. Chateo will turn white/clear when it perishes but it's not too far away from that. Good Luck

It would be a hard comeback. I guess it could happen. There's a section of the sump that's shaded and the chaeto that goes there does turn that color, so I trim and throw it away. It served its purpose.
Hope it comes back. Better light may be the answer as suggested. 5000 k is a little low for what it likes.I've been thinking of upgrading my bulb as well... even though the one I have makes it grow alright.

I seem to get better growth with chateo using a cheap 15w flourescent 10k bulb. I think mine is an Ocean Sun bulb. I have it in a strip fixture that is commonly sold with aquariums.
