I got him last friday. He is small, about 1.5" He is the only inhabitant in a 14g biocube. I acclimated him in a bag for about an hour. Water quality is good. He ate good and was pretty active the first couple of days. Did not eat monday but was active. Tuesday he wasnt moving, fins were all down and did not respond to food right beside him on bottom. I kind of expected him to be dead today but he is still breathing. Any ideas of what i can do to save him?

Good to know. They are usually very hardy. You plan on getting a pistol shrimp for him?

Haha you will love it. Be warned though pistol shrimps will take anything they can get to build there tunnels. I battle mine every day for hermit shells. Lol

Good Luck. I have a YWG. Love him, very hardy and interesting fish. Mine also got stressed when i introduced him. I introduced him along with a pistol. worst thing i did. That pistol will take EVERYTHING into its burrow including coral frags. Pistol will also take down a lot of hermits, snails, shrimp, and fish. At least mine does. Anything it can touch, will be eaten or stored in its burrow. It is a really cool relationship, but if i could get mine out, i would in a heartbeat. Good Luck!!!

How much flow do you have in that tank?
Is there enough surface agitation to aid CO2/Oxygen exchange?

Just the standard return that came with the cube. I have ordered a small powerhead from amazon and it should be here today.

The fish is doing great now! I guess he was just stressed.
